College football is known for its high-scoring action, which makes handicapping totals a tough task from week-to-week. But when it comes to betting these teams and their totals, you simply had to bet the Over and watch the points stack up.

Here are the hottest football bets online in college football heading into Week 9:

New Mexico Lobos (7-0 Over/Under)
The Lobos are the top rushing attack in the country, averaging 374.1 yards on the ground per game. Usually run-heavy teams can lean toward the Under, since all those runs keep the clock moving, but New Mexico has been so potent with its ground game, picking up 6.87 yards per carry and scoring 27 touchdowns on the turf. On the other side of the ball, the Lobos are giving up 33.9 points per contest – ranked 107th in the nation. New Mexico faces its highest total of the season when it visits Hawaii this weekend, with the number set at 65.5 points.

UNLV Runnin’ Rebels (7-1 Over/Under)
We’re sure there are more than a few locals in Las Vegas riding the Rebels’ red-hot Over streak. UNLV has played Over the total in all but one of its games this season, including back-to-back contests heading into Week 9. The Runnin’ Rebels' total run has more to do with their soft defense, which is allowing 32.2 points per game. However, the party for Over backers could be spoiled in the home stretch of the schedule where UNLV faces the likes of San Jose State (first in MWC in scoring defense), Boise State (second in MWC in scoring defense), and Nevada (fifth in MWC in scoring defense).

Washington Huskies (6-1 Over/Under)
The Huskies’ high-powered attack has put them in the conversation for the College Football Playoffs and in the process, put Washington among the top bread winners for the Over. The Huskies put up 48.3 points per game, which is the fourth most in the country, running a fairly balanced playbook that keeps opposing defenses on their toes. The crazy thing with Washington and its Over success is that it has done the lion’s share of the scoring, boasting the sixth-ranked defense in the country – giving up only 14.6 points on average. The Huskies play their next two on the road –at Utah and at Cal – where they average 52.5 points, almost five points more than at home.
